Laduree is one of those institutionalize establishments in Paris that we needed to try, the infamous 1.65 Euro each macaroon. I'm not sure that's significant other than knowing its damn expensive, but it served as the classic gift we brought back for our families. We waited in a 30 minute line to buy 20 Euros worth to try out. But it was well worth it. There were certain flavor combination of taste and freshness that really stood out, especially the chocolate, that made it a costly but worthwhile treat.
