Primavera

San Francisco, CA
One of our favorite places to go in the city is the Farmer's market at the Ferry building on Saturday mornings. It's been more difficult with Shaddy since it's often crowded, but we can still enjoy all the fresh food options offered outdoors. Today we opted to go with Mexican food at Primavera. Offering a changing menu and beautiful usage of fresh local ingredients, the items are usually simplistic and tasty.

Below are some pictures of them hard at work.

Chile Relleno
Fresh Tortillas

I opted for the classic Chilaquiles with local organic srambled eggs, refried beans, sour cream, avacado, queso cotija, white onion and cilantro. ($9.50)
Guajillo Chile Chilaquiiles
It was even more delicious and filling that the last time. This time the tortilla chips were crunchy, not soggy. The eggs were fresh and perfectly cooked, and the refried beans, filled with lard and flavor.

Chu-Toro opted for the Enchiladas Chilango ($9.50), crisp chicken "enchiladas" drowned in salsa verde, sour cream, onion, cilantro, queso cotija and refried beans and a watermelon lime aqua fresca ($2.50).

Enchiladas Chilango
This dish was tasty as well, feeling more like a taquitos than enchiladas. We sat on a park bench with Shaddy as we at by the bay bridge, a perfect morning in the city.
